Finding the market sweet spot for luxury living on a budget

We designed this 3,800 sf spec house to fit the lifestyle of an active, growing family. Open plan living spaces on the main floor allow easy interaction while still having discrete spatial identity, natural light fills the house through a central skylit stair hall, and four bedrooms upstairs can accommodate several children and an au pair or guest room, plus a generous master suite. The design and material selection were rigorously developed to maximize their impact with a disciplined economy. The house had hundreds of visitors the first weekend on the market and sold after three days in a flat economy.
