LAKE UNION FLOATING HOME IV | SEATTLE, WA

Efficient use of space, thoughtful privacy boundaries, and maximizing one’s views while respecting that of your neighbor are common goals addressed in this 1400 sf house, our fourth project in the dense and eclectic community floating on Seattle’s Lake Union.

The inverted floor plan, with bedrooms on the dock level and an open plan of living/dining/kitchen on the upper level, takes best advantage of views and breezes for the spaces where this three generation family will spend most of its time.  High window bands across the bedrooms preserve privacy while allowing abundant daylight.  Exterior cladding will be a palette of stained cedar vertical board and battens, high density cement panels, and wood veneer panels.

Expected completion date – Fall 2016
